Meet the Owner
Doug White is the owner and founder of WPC Company, born and raised in Crossett, Arkansas. After High School, he served four years in the United States Navy. While working in the Navy, he developed a passion for construction.
Doug’s experience in the construction business goes back 40 years. He started in industrial/commercial building, as a concrete finisher. Then, he moved onto steel structures and the rigging department with two of the largest construction companies in the Nation. His experience at this level included work at oil refineries, power plants, and paper mills.
After moving to Louisville in 1980, he went to work for a power plant as a Union Carpenter. After 10 years of experience in commercial building, Doug started a small company, astutely titled “Professional Contracting”. In 1995 Doug incorporated his company and changed the name to the incumbent WPC Company, Inc. The company now specializes in design build commercial projects, metal buildings, schools, universities, pole barns, roofing, warehouses, retail spaces, and offices.
